This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, how TraderIQ uses them, and the choices you have. We keep our cookie usage minimal — only what is strictly necessary to operate the service.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember your preferences and session across page loads. Similar technologies include localStorage and sessionStorage.
2. How We Use Cookies
TraderIQ uses cookies in two categories: Essential and Preference.
Essential cookies are required for the service to function. They manage your login session, keep you authenticated between page visits, and protect against cross-site request forgery. These cookies cannot be disabled — without them the service cannot operate.
Preference cookies remember optional settings such as your chosen colour theme (light or dark mode) and your sidebar collapse state. These improve your experience but are not required for the core service.
3. Cookies We Set
sb-[project]-auth-token — Set by Supabase authentication. Stores your encrypted session token. Expires when your session ends or after 7 days of inactivity. Category: Essential.
traderiq-theme — Stores your preferred colour theme (light or dark). Expires after 1 year. Category: Preference.
traderiq-cookie-consent — Records your cookie consent choices so we do not ask again on every visit. Expires after 1 year. Category: Essential.
4. Third-Party Cookies
TraderIQ does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies. We do not share cookie data with advertisers.
Stripe, our payment processor, may set cookies on the checkout page they host. These are governed by Stripe's own Cookie Policy.
5. Your Choices
You can manage your cookie preferences at any time using the Cookie Preferences link in the footer or sidebar of the app. Selecting 'Reject Non-Essential Cookies' disables preference cookies while keeping essential cookies active.
You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Note that blocking essential cookies will prevent you from staying logged in to TraderIQ.
6. No Analytics or Advertising
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other third-party analytics or advertising technology. We do not track you across other websites.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when we change how we use cookies. Material changes will be communicated via the app. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
